This 1 day, in-class certification course focuses on both theoretical and practical applications for hot stone therapy.  Taught by RMT's and developed for experienced bodyworkers & spa professionals only.  This 20 hour course includes the 8 hour - 1-day session followed by completion of 5 case studies and a written exam at home (12 hours).  Certification requires completion of all case studes and written exam.  Course includes 100 pg. manual and DVD

Structural Myofascial Therap;y (SMFT) is a deep, hands-on, therapeutic technique coupled with postural awareness exercise, which treat the body's myofascial system.  SMFT treats the myofascia, liberating this tissue returning the ability to move with ease, increasing end ranges of motion.  This is a preferred treatment for physically active people such as athletes, dancers, musicians or those whose work involves heavy labour.  3 day course runs from 8:30-4:30.  FACILITATOR:  BetsyAnn Baron is a montreal based massage therapist who specializes in SMFT and CORE Structural Integration.  COST:  $500.00 (plus GST) 12 CEU's

This 3 day workshop is a a continuation of the level 1 course which is taught by BetsyAnn Baron.  Level 1 is a pre-requisite. 

Level 2 will focus on specific techniques for the back, hips, calves and feet. There will be continued work from level 1 in chest area and additional fascial exploration using long lever techniques. New items will include advanced work to the sacro-tuberous ligament, coccyx and pelvic floor, and, dural system balancing.  In addition BetsyAnn will continue postural awareness exploration, and, discussion about fascial pathologies and treatment protocal.

This course is based on the techniques learned in Chiang Mai, Thailand and is consistent with the norther style of Thai massage.  It involves a whole body approach to healing. The session will include Theory as well as practical and will also discuss herbal compress with a test at the end of the session.  Once completed, therapist will be able to use techniques immediately.  Traditional Thai lunch to be served at the end of the session!
